Today, you and I went to the most amazing whole day trip we could ever think of as of this point in time. Finally, our Binondo adventure was underway, and although we were on a tight budget, there was much excitement in the both of us.
Of course, we took the jeep to Quiapo, almost got lost, traversed through the busy and somewhat cautious streets of Manila, and found our way to our initial destination. we even saw a lot of scandalous things along the way *ahem ahem sex toys on the street ahem ahem*
Then we walked through the streets of the historic chinatown, and found out that there was a lot to see, but really nothing to see at all. it was the adventure of walking and trying to explore every corner that kept us going and going. I even bought some preserved prunes and peanuts. Unfortunately, we couldn't buy anything for you because you were too stubborn to buy anything.
Finally, after hours and hours of walking through the streets to find something to eat, we settled on a small restaurant managed by the "people in pink." You had your fill of Hakaw while I had lechon macau, roast duck, and some spareribs. Good meal.
Then, we went to the shopping centers like 168, 11/88. and 999 to look for things we could buy. nothing there. It was a tiring walk, and I personally thing that we could have done without it and just went home to rest up, yet somehow it was an opportunity we couldn't have passed: we were already there, so why not?
Afterwards, we went home to pick up yaya and your lola to drive them home to Antipolo. Is the trip done? Nope. Greenhills was on our next stop, and after looking at that toystore for everything we needed, we proceeded to Victory Christian Church, for a different feel of religion. You were already tired, I could tell.
But we're not done there. Since shope were already closed in greenhills (aww sorry for the chicken), we proceeded to tomas morato to look for something to eat. Lo and behold, there it was. FRANZ BURGER! We had a good meal, which didn't cost much either.
Simple, tiring, time consuming....yet special.
These are the adventures in life I offer you. It may be long, and it may be tiring, yet it's most definitely worth it. I might not be the one who'll surprise you with flowers, or give you the most expensive gifts, yet i can be the one whom you can take anywhere without complaint. I'll be the one to fit your budget and take that jeep with you, who won't be afraid to go to where you want to go. I'll be that one who'll encourage you, and take that first step to take you to places you'd surely enjoy. I'll be that one who walks with you and makes the effort to know you better even though you think that I already know everything.
This is my adventure, and I want you to be that adventure. I want you to be the one i'll have this adventure with. Sure, we've had our rough moments. Sure, I'm stupid. Sure, I get mad at you for being stupid yourself. But isn't that thrill worth the adventure?
I'll be your backpack. I'll be your shoes. I'll be that cap which protects you from the sun. I'll be your towel, your extra shirt. I'll be your lip balm.
Most Importantly, i'll be beside you in our adventure, every step of the way.
"Throw it away. Forget yesterday. We'll make the great escape."
